Power outage in Babies r Us

While we were at Babies r Us. The power went out and there was a huge rain storm- Someone said they heard the Tornado warnings go off I didn't- So we were stuck in Babies r Us for 2 and a half hours- By the time we left it was only sprinkling outside. But the streets were all dirty with tree trimming and weather related stuff. Crazy weather here in MI. Here is Whitney sitting in the cart pointing at the lights which were off..Oh happy day!

New Bishop's home + potty training = NO Don't go there!

So on Sunday Whitney went through church with no accidents YEA! After church we were invited to go eat at our new Bishop's home-Of course we said yes. So we were sitting at the table with the Bishop his wife , their 17 year old son and their daughter and her husband. We were all sitting at the beautiful dinning room table on their cloth chairs - When I notice Whitney standing up at peeing on the cloth chairs-I was/am mortified that my child is peeing at the Bishops house- So I grabbed her and asked where the bathroom was and I took her and changed her underwear(at least I brought another pair with me). When we got back to the table everyone was laughing- What do you do?? I just said sorry a million times and tried to clean up the chair. Yes I wanted to leave immediately - but I didn't we finished our dinner. And then shortly after we left.. That's exactly the statement you want to make with anyone you first meet. I am still so embarrassed I do not want I will say the next time I see the Bishop and his family.

Potty Training day 3

Well today has been very successful Whitney has not had an accident since before lunch- She even told me when I was in another room that she had to go pee! So I think we are almost to success ! We will see tomorrow when we go to church but hey I am so proud of her and the 3 day potty training method-- It seems to work great! By the way we do not use pull ups or any other diaper method! Even at Night - So Go Whitney!

Potty training cont..

Yesterday we had success of Whitney going poop on the toilet. She would even tell me she had to go poop so I am really excited about that. Now I just need her to tell me when she has to go pee. We only went through 10 pairs of underwear all day which is great because on Thursday for just a half a day she went through 10 pairs. SO YEA WHITNEY MY BIG GIRL!

So here is Whitney and I in the airport in Las Vegas!

Top 10 reasons you should not fly Spirit airlines

1. They only have the red eye from Vegas to Detroit.
2. To purchase beverages or snacks you must have a credit card.
3. They have no tv/ movie or even radio to listen to on the flight.
4. They pack all the people with children in the back of the plane. And they make strange Chinese men climb over them so he can get to his seat.
5. As I said the back of the plane is cramped like sardines while the front of the plane(not 1st class) has one person per three seats.
6. With no radio you must have to listen to the girl with the baby and her DVD player watching a movie where all you can here are car crashes no words just crashes!
7. When the movie is over then you get to hear the airline steward (man) talk the whole entire time to some other passengers on the plane!
8. Then there is the crazy lady sitting/ standing in front of you - who has to stand up and face you while she does her yoga routine.
9. Then you have the squeak squeak sound of the whole airplane like the armrests. Go up and down- The plane needs WD40.
10. But you will make it there alive !

So we finally got the Internet and cable yesterday it only took them 10 days. But we are excited to have it on! These pictures were taken on Easter Sunday here in our new apartment in Auburn Hills. Zack's dad drove out with him to bring all our stuff from Nevada to Michigan. While Marwayne,Whitney and I took the red eye flight a few days later- Zack and his parents left here Easter afternoon to got back to Vegas. So yes I am awful parent and I did not take any more pictures of Easter than these.
Here are some deer just outside our apartment window- As you can see they are by the tennis courts!

Wonderful Women

A big Thank you goes out to these wonderful women. They have been great inspiration to me - Starting from Left to right- Rachel what a wonderful mother she has taught me that even if you are new in a ward you should be active and make friends thanks goes out to Rachel for setting up play dates every Tuesday- I always love the e-vite invitation every week. Then there is Kelsie a the women who can also do anything- She is such a great example on how to support your husband in any calling that he has even if you have to sit by yourself with your 3 young children in sacrament meeting- The next one in line is Gretchen- another wonderful mom she has taught me that you can go do many things alone with your children- I am very impressed that every week she comes alone to church with her two young children. It makes me know that when I am in Michigan there is nothing stopping me from taking my one child to church. She also has a lot of patience with me trying to teach me how to knit. One day Gretchen I will finally get it and I will be able to wear a scarf that I hand made. Then there is Jessica, she is truly a wonderful women she has impressed me so many times-She has taught me how important going to the temple is- She also has taught me that as women we can handle everything including the live in mom!
I will miss these women more than I would ever say-- I needed them at this time in my life. SO THANK YOU
Sorry for such the long message!

Travis and Leah say Aidos

Travis and Leah came to say Adios before we left- I met Travis about 10 years ago at the singles ward- He has been a great friend to me and Zack- I have great memories of Travis growing facial hair. He has been a real life saver when it comes to needing a place to crash-- We will miss Travis and Rochelle; Whitney will miss playing with Leah.

Saying good-bye to Tammy

It was nice to see Tammy before we moved- Tammy has been my friend for almost 10 years. We met in the singles ward and went snowboarding for the first time and had bruised bottoms for a week. After that we were great friends- Snowboarding almost every other week in the winter - Learning how to wake board in the summer- Four wheeling when we could find friends to let us go with them- We even went to Hawaii one summer- The good ole' times when we did whatever ,whenever we wanted. We will miss you! So Tammy come see us they have snow in Michigan to and also lakes!
